SIB - Società Italiana Brevetti

Three patent attorneys from SIB Società Italiana Brevetti highly specialised in pharmaceuticals, microbiology and bioengineering will speak at a workshop on patenting search results taking place on 29 February 2012 at 9 a.m. at the University of Milano-Bicocca, Faculty of Medicine.

The workshop will look at some of the issues involved in the patentability of chemical-pharmaceutical, biomedical and bioengineering inventions, as well as at tools for supporting and nurturing links between universities and industry.

An introduction by Armando Di Troia, head of the PITT of the Milano-Bicocca University, will be followed by lectures by SIB patent attorneys Claudio Germinario, Valentina Predazzi and Giuseppe Romano on: changes in legislation concerning the patentability of chemical-pharmaceutical inventions; patenting research results; presentation of a case study of patenting in the field of bioengineering.

Addresses by Lucia Facci, head of the Technology Transfer Office of Fondazione Telethon, and Angela Pulvirenti, in charge of technology transfer for the Federazione delle Associazioni Scientifiche e Tecniche (FAST), will close the workshop.
