{"id":20881,"date":"2021-03-30T15:51:24","date_gmt":"2021-03-30T15:51:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sib.it\/?p=20881"},"modified":"2021-03-31T07:48:13","modified_gmt":"2021-03-31T07:48:13","slug":"sib-premiata-per-la-migliore-consulenza-brevetti-ai-managing-ip-awards-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sib.it\/en\/flash-news\/managing-ip-italy-patent-prosecution-firm-of-the-year-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"SIB named Managing IP Italy Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Societ\u00e0 Italiana Brevetti has been awarded the <strong>Managing IP Italy Patent Prosecution Firm of the Year 2021<\/strong> trophy for its achievements over the last 12 months.<img class=\"size-full wp-image-20884 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sib.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/MIPwinner2021_450.jpg\" alt=\"MIP Italy Patent Prosecution firm of the year 2021\" width=\"450\" height=\"235\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sib.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/MIPwinner2021_450.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.sib.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/MIPwinner2021_450-300x157.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.sib.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/MIPwinner2021_450-150x78.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During the virtual ceremony broadcast live on 30 March 2021, our Head of Patents <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sib.it\/en\/our-team\/elisabetta-papa-biomedical-patents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elisabetta Papa<\/a> accepted the award and thanked Managing IP, our patents team and SIB clients for this achievement.<\/p>\n<p>The Patent Prosecution award recognizes outstanding work in filing and prosecuting patents before the <a href=\"https:\/\/uibm.mise.gov.it\/index.php\/it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italian Patent and Trademark Office<\/a> (UIBM) and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epo.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Patent Office<\/a> (EPO).<\/p>\n<p>SIB was commended for acting in a number of important matters for clients during the past year.<\/p>\n<p>These included advising a security and minting company on the IP issues around the production of masks to support the efforts to tackle COVID-19; representing a research institute and a diagnostic company on IP protection and other legal issues concerning their rapid COVID-19 testing products; and succeeding in offensive and defensive patent oppositions for clients in the manufacturing and life science sectors.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/swr9GgBbSJY?controls=0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Managing IP said: \u201cThe pandemic has posed big challenges for businesses worldwide. IP practitioners have responded with diligence and imagination, and we are delighted to recognise some of their achievements at this year\u2019s Managing IP Awards.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is the second successive year the firm\u2019s work has been recognized at the Managing IP Awards. In 2020, it was named Trademark Prosecution Firm of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>The Managing IP Awards are based on independent research.
