The seminar is intended for graduate and undergraduate students as well as for junior researchers focusing on biotechnology and medicine.<img class=\"alignright wp-image-4521 size-full\" title=\"brevetti biotech biomed\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sib.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/biotechnology-patents.jpg\" alt=\"brevetti biotech biomed\" width=\"424\" height=\"283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sib.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/biotechnology-patents.jpg 424w, https:\/\/www.sib.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/biotechnology-patents-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 424px) 100vw, 424px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Professor Marcello Alecci, docent in the Biotechnology undergraduate course and in the Molecular and Cellular Biotechnologies postgraduate course, will welcome attendees and introduce the main topics.<\/p>\n<p>Our patent attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sib.it\/en\/our-team\/paolo-di-giovine-italian-patent-attorney-chemistry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Paolo di Giovine<\/a> will speak about <strong>drafting a patent application<\/strong> and illustrate a case study in the field of biotechnology.<\/p>\n<p>Paolo will then engage students on about how becoming a patent attorney can be a career opportunity for graduates in life science disciplines.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On 14 June 2018 we\u2019ll be at L\u2019Aquila University to discuss patents and intellectual property rights in general with regard to biotech and biomed inventions.
