Paolo di Giovine speaks at Systasy workshop on entrepreneurship: the importance of patents in starting a business
Paolo di Giovine has been invited to speak at a workshop on the importance of patents in starting a business entitled “How to start a company?”, which will be held in Munich 19-21 October 2026.
The seminar is organized by Systasy Bioscience GmbH, a private company established as a spin-off of the Max Planck Institute for Experimental Medicine; Systasy provides solutions for drug discovery targeting complex diseases, with particular focus on brain disorders.
Paolo’s presentation is scheduled for 21 October on the topic “Protecting Innovation in Life Sciences: Why Patents Matter”, as part of the workshop’s second session dedicated to “Insights and Lessons from the Market” which will take place at the Department of Psychiatry of Ludwig Maximilian University Hospital in Munich.
Paolo is one of the leading professionals on the SIB team specialized in Life Sciences and Chemistry; he has extensive experience advising start-ups and venture capitalists on matters such as patenting strategies, intellectual property validity and value, as well as Freedom to Operate, in the life sciences sector.
We are grateful for the opportunity to meet forward-thinking entrepreneurs interested in understanding how a solid intellectual property strategy can transform research-based innovation into a competitive advantage.
