Paolo Veronesi to speak at OriGIn Expert Meeting in Geneva
We are taking part in the the OriGIn Expert Meeting taking place in Geneva on 12-13 June 2025.
Our Paolo Veronesi is a speaker at the event. His contribution is titled “Two recent decisions of the General Court of the European Union: is PORT/PORTO definitively a harbour?”.
A European trademark attorney and attorney at law, Paolo is an expert on intellectual property in the wine sector, and particularly on the interaction between trademarks, denominations of origin and geographical indications (GIs).
An impressive lineup of GI groups, law firms, experts, international IP Offices and other organizations have already confirmed their participation in this event, that is to focus on the latest developments, challenges and strategies for effective GI protection and enforcement.
OriGIn – Organization for an International Geographical Indications Network – is the global alliance of GIs from a large variety of sectors, representing some 600 associations of producers and other GI-related entities from 40 countries.
