IAM Patent 1000 2020 highly recommends SIB for patent prosecution

IAM Patent 1000 2020 highly recommends our firm as well as five of our attorneys for patent prosecution in Italy.

Società Italiana Brevetti is ranked among only 3 other “highly recommended” Italian IP firms in the 2020 edition of IAM Patent 1000: The World’s Leading Patent Professionals.migliori studi italiani consulenza brevetti

The publication identifies leading firms based on factors such as depth of knowledge, market presence and the level of work on which firms are typically instructed were all taken into account, as well as positive peer and client feedback. The research was conducted entirely independently of any commercial considerations. Quoting the Patent 1000 website: “all firms and individuals ranked in the publication are included because the market told us that they should be.”

SIB is also the Italian firm with the highest number of individually recommended professionals in IAM Patent 1000 2020: congratulations to our patent attorneys Gaetano Barbaro, Emanuele Concone , Claudio Germinario, Elisabetta Papa and Giuseppe Romano. Well done!

Based on client interviews, this is the published motivation for our ranking in IAM Patent 1000 2020:

Società Italiana Brevetti is never one to shy away from uncharted waters: its patent attorneys have an abundance of knowledge and expertise in even the most arcane and demanding of sectors.

A major draw for clients is the diverse first-hand experience of its agents, many of whom have previously held prominent industry positions or sat as examiners and board of appeal members at the EPO. Having spent two decades as both a biotechnology examiner and board of appeal member in Munich, Claudio Germinario “knows the case law inside out and brings invaluable technical insight to the table”.

Another name on the pharmaceutical side of the practice is Elisabetta Papa: “Incredibly bright, she demonstrates an encyclopaedic knowledge of intellectual property that holds up in proceedings before the EPO. She impresses with the complexity of her arguments and stuns the opposition with her meticulous pleadings, leaving no room for a counterargument”.

“In the mechanics field, Emanuele Concone “achieves fantastic results and always proposes several solutions to the issue at hand. The protection he provides is holistic, which comes from a refined understanding of his clients’ needs”.

Electronics and nanotechnology are the metiers of Gaetano Barbaro and Giuseppe Romano respectively. They “excel in the art of strategy and consistently deliver strong results. Their work is in line with business objectives and looks to improve the overall portfolio and fosters the company’s IP strategy as a whole”.
